What can you expect?
This weekend course is for those who want to discover the beautiful and profound world of oil painting – without using harmful solvents.
The course is open to both beginners and advanced participants. You will receive a solid introduction to techniques, color theory, and image composition, allowing you to take the next steps in your artistic development.
At the same time, we focus on immersion, personal guidance, and an inspiring community.
You will learn:
• Color theory – we use Apelles’ 4-color palette as a starting point, and you’ll gain a vivid understanding of the interplay and effects of colors.
• Composition and image structure – how to create balance and depth in your works.
• Light and contrast – introduction to working with light, shadow, and mood.
• Oil painting techniques – new studies have revealed that the great old masters did not use solvents in the creation of their masterpieces. In this course, you’ll learn to mix your own painting medium, as the old masters did, without solvents.
There is room for a maximum of 12 participants, allowing ample time for individual guidance and the opportunity to find your own artistic expression.
