Artist Portraits
Gustaw Iwinski
Born in Gdańsk, Poland, but residing in Denmark for the past decades. Gustaw has exhibited widely in Denmark and works in the tension between realism and fantasy. In his paintings, human and animal, the feminine and the masculine, beauty and the grotesque meet—often with a playful irony. The works invite interpretation, and each painting functions as an open narrative.
Erica Hestu Wahyuni
Born in Yogyakarta, Java (1971), educated at both the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta and the Surikov Institute in Russia. Erica has developed a pictorial world characterized by colorful energy and rich detail, where people, animals, and objects merge in scenes that balance between everyday life and dream. Her works are playful, poetic, and filled with stories that invite the audience into a universe where culture and imagination meet.
Adrienn Korosi Hass Jensen
Born in Hungary and living in Denmark for several years. Adrienn works in a realistic visual language, where the human gaze, presence, and inner life are central. She is inspired by animals, female beauty, and spirituality, and her works often combine natural materials such as graphite, charcoal, and gold leaf. Through this raw materiality, she seeks to capture both the spark of the moment and the quiet traces of meditation and magic that shape her artistic practice.
Emil Tonne Staal
Artist, composer, poet, performer, and documentarian based in Denmark. Emil’s practice spans painting and sculpture to installation and performance. His works are often inspired by travels, rituals, and intercultural encounters, revolving around nature, spirituality, and human presence. With his “Cultural portraits” and other works, he translates senses, emotions, and symbolic experiences into a visual language that resonates across cultures.
